Colorful flowers

This artwork was created using tissue paper and collage techniques to design a colorful flower vase. Children used small pieces of tissue paper to form the petals of the flowers and decorated the vase with blended colors. The activity encouraged children to explore different textures, colors, and shapes while creating their own unique artwork.
This art experience supports children’s fine motor development, as they practice tearing, placing, and gluing the tissue paper pieces. It also encourages creativity and self-expression, allowing children to make choices about colors and design. Through this process, children can experiment with materials and develop confidence in their artistic abilities.
As an educator, I would use activities like this to support children’s creative expression and engagement, while also helping them strengthen important early skills such as hand coordination, focus, and imagination.
